Homeostasis is the control of something in the body of an animal, human being, or plant to make it maintain the way it should be. If the body temperature should be 98 degrees Fahrenheit, then the homeostasis process will control the body to make the temperature stay at that temperature. Sometimes, the process doesn't or can't work because a person gets sick and their body temperature rises. Another aspect of the body that this process regulates is sweating. To maintain the body temperature, homeostasis will jump in and cause the body to sweat to decrease the average temperature's body temperature.
