The Medina, officially known as Al Madinah Al Munawwarah, is one of the three holiest cities in Islamic culture. It is considered the major Islamic pilgrimage site. It consists of the Green Dome above the tomb of the Prophet Muhammed. The Masjid al-Qiblatain is considered as the site where the Prophet Muhammed received the command to change the direction of prayer to Mecca.
