Three Skeleton Key is a classic story of terror by George G. Toudouze, about three men in a lighthouse when a horde of ravenous rats attacks it. The tale made its first appearance in English in the January 1937 edition of Esquire, with the magazine editor Arnold Gingrich discovering this suspenseful tale and ‘Leiningen Versus the Ants.’ Though Toudouze penned a significant number of adventure novels and short stories – writing on topics of art, architecture, travel, and French naval history, he is still remembered today for the work he put into this piece alone, and its impact’s had on the world.
